Joseph Ross is a recent graduate of Cal Poly Humboldt, earning his B.A. in Psychology there in 2022. Joseph’s research interests include group polarization, political extremism, populist leadership and followership, and identity-based threat from a self-categorization perspective. He presently works in collaboration with Dr. Amber Gaffney and the SI Lab in a variety of capacities, including as a writer, editor, and presenter at academic conferences. Joseph hopes to accrue valuable experience working in the field of academic research through his current position in the lab, with the goal of successfully completing a Social or Political Psychology M.A. program in the future.
