Joseph Pang is a third-year graduate student in the Masters in Academic Research Psychology program, emphasizing in Social Psychology.

Thesis: Diversity Among University Students in the U.S.: An Analysis of Student Ethnic Group Preferences and its Impact on Campus Diversity
Supervisor: Dr. Amber Gaffney. 

Joseph’s research interests focus on intergroup relations and identity in higher education. His work uses social identity frameworks to better understand how BIPOC identities influence perceptions of other minorities and experiences in academia. He strives to complete a PhD in Social Psychology and plans to become a professor that contributes to DEI efforts through mentoring underrepresented students.
